SEEKING ASSISTANCE - Critical Injury at Outlaws Bar Under Investigation (Updated 12/2/24)

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE (12/2/24)
On the evening of Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, the Atascadero Police Department was
notified that the individual who sustained critical injuries in this incident has passed away. The
individual is identified as Lucky Thomas, a 30-year-old male from Atascadero. The Atascadero
Police Department is still actively investigating this incident, and we urge anyone with
information to contact our investigators. Any information, videos, or pictures could assist in the

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE (11/26/24)
At 1:54 a.m. on November 24, 2024, the Atascadero Police Department and Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of an unconscious adult male following an incident in the parking lot of Outlaws Bar, located at 9850 East Frond Road.

Upon arrival, first responders located a 30-year-old male suffering from a significant head injury.  The individual was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.  The identity of the subject is not being released at this time. 

A preliminary investigation indicates the male was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the establishment and suffered a head injury after falling to the ground when a third party broke up the altercation.   At the time of the incident, other patrons were present in the parking lot and witnessed the altercation.  The Atascadero Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact our investigators.  Any information, videos, or pictures could assist in the investigation.  To contact an investigator, please call Sergeant Netz at (805) 470-3252.
